BULLHEAD CITY — Tami Ring is running for Bullhead City Council in the non-partisan March 12 primary as a friend of small business and in opposition to the proposed city sales tax increase. 

Ring moved to Bullhead City in 1991 and worked in sales at a couple of publications, including the Mohave Valley News, forerunner to the Daily News. Ring became a small business owner, founding Clippin’ the River, which she sold to Daily News parent company News West Publications in 2002. She later owned a window coverings business, but closed it when the recession hit. Ring’s had her eye on a city council run for several years.
