Town of Fort Mill officials have met at least once with the Nation Ford Land Trust to discuss annexing part of the protected property the group owns into town limits.Fort Mill Mayor Danny Funderburk said a private meeting held last week also included a discussion about “trails and giving them more protection,” but that the meeting was “a negotiation, so I’m not at liberty to talk much about it.”

The development is currently in an unincorporated area of York County.
