The weather cooperated enough to keep the 10th annual Bridal & Prom Expo on schedule Sunday, but there seemed to be a dip in attendance.Event coordinator Stacy Waugh and vendors were pleased with the turnout, saying it was better than what they expected considering continued low temperatures and less-than-ideal road conditions from Saturday morning’s snowfall. In past years, the event had been at Open Door Church, where the vendors and fashion show were in separate spaces. This year, Waugh said, organizers chose the Elks Lodge as a place to join the two parts of the event to provide vendors to give both parts of the expo more exposure.“We’ve gotten a lot of good feedback so far. People like it,” Waugh said. 

Barb Jividen, of Jividen Photography, has been a constant at the expo and said she loved the new format and venue.“I think it’s a great venue. I think it’s actually a bonus for those attending to simultaneously see the fashion and the vendors at the same time,” she said.New vendor Robyn Helsel, of Pampered Chef, also enjoyed the location.“I like the place. It’s really, really pretty. She also prefers a more formal format in which there is plenty of seating to encourage focus on the show.“We made it work. I think they did a great job,” she said.
